Thermometry systems of grain elevators

According to the technology of storage of grain products, it is necessary to control the temperature of the grain bulk in order to prevent quality deterioration and loss of grain as a result of self-heating. The technologist, knowing the initial values of the temperature in different layers of the grain mound, analyzes its changes over time and, in case of exceeding the permissible value, carries out technological operations for artificial cooling with the help of active ventilation or moving grain from one silo to another. Considering the fact that these operations have a negative effect on the quality of the product, they should be carried out on the basis of reliable information about the temperature state of the grain embankment. In order to timely detect the emergence of zones of grain bulk with elevated temperature, the means used for temperature control must provide high sensitivity and introduce a small measurement error.

The INNOVINNPROM's remote temperature control system (RTCS) is designed for automatic remote multi-channel temperature control in grain storages and warehouses. According to the data of RTCS, the staff can predict the dynamics of temperature changes and prevent it from exceeding the established limits in a timely manner.

The system provides round-the-clock continuous monitoring, recording, archiving and printing of temperature values at monitored points.

This is a modern computer system that works in real time with any types of thermal pendants and thermal sensors.

Composition of the RTCS 2014

RTCS consists of thermal suspensions located in granaries, a local unit and an automated workplace. RTCS can work with different types of thermal suspensions at the same time:

  • Thermal pendants based on copper resistance sensors;
  • Thermal pendants based on thermocouple sensors;
  • Thermal pendants based on digital semiconductor thermometers.

Software

"RTCS-2014" software is implemented on the basis of the virus-resistant Linux operating system.

The software provides connection with local units and ensures receipt of temperature data, their statistical processing and storage in the built-in database, generation and sending of reports for printing.

The temperature field of the elevator is presented in the form of a color scheme, indicating the dynamics of temperature changes in the silos.

It provides the ability to transmit information in enterprise networks and the Internet.

  • Monitoring of temperature indicators both in powerhouses as a whole and in separate silos and thermal suspensions with the frequency set by the operator;
  • Control of the dynamics of temperature changes;
